Recursive Approximation of Analog Integrators

| Recursive digital integrators (RDI) approximating the analog integrator frequency response are designed. Generic structures are considered and a set of designing rules is proposed. With this approximation it is possible to shape the introduced modulus and phase distortion in a desired way and it is possible to eliminate the trapezoidal integrator modulus distortion [1-3] while maintaining the phase error bellow a certain level. Direct comparison with classical rst-order RDIs [1-3] is done. Design examples are provided. Application of RDIs to digital lter design is also considered.
